NWV 8th Annual Holiday Open House - Thursday, December 10th, 5pm to 8pm
Take a walk and visit your neighborhood merchants who are sharing the holiday cheer with residents of NWV. There are a number of new merchants in the neighborhood. Your heart will be warmed to meet the neighbors and share the cheer of this holiday season.

NWV Summer News - find out what is happening in NWV this summer!
Thank you UR Freshman class for helping beautify our neighborhood. Fifty freshmen from University of Rochester who were participating in the freshman class orientation to Rochester helped weed gardens and paint street posts throughout the North Winton Village area. Numerous street sign posts along North Winton Road are green and the Atlantic Avenue gardens along the rail yard are weeded. Linear Park is all cleaned up as well. The Planning Committee for the 3rd Annual North Winton Village Festival of the Arts is well under way. Anyone wishing to help please connect the web-site. We need volunteers the day of the event. More information to came on the web-site about the 3rd Annual North Winton Village Festival of the Arts, Saturday, September 26, 2009, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Main Street Revitalazation Grant has its first submission to the State of New York. The grant is a two year grant from the NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal Office of Community Renewal:$200,000 Streetscape Matching Funds for Façade, Building Renovation and Streetscape Funds. The Target area is East Main Street from Hall Street to Jersey Street, the City of Rochester, which is in Sector 8.

Our Linear Park is looking beautiful!
Thanks to our neighborhood volunteers and the City of Rochester, the United Way
and The Petco Foundation. Stop at the Park and enjoy the beautiful flowers and the path for walking and bike running. The park has became a wonderful stop for our dog friends in the neighborhood. We all enjoy the green space and they do too!!!

The Center for Youth Learn to Earn Project is giving the North Winton two youths to help in the neighborhood for the summer of 2009. They will be wearing idenification badges. You will see the youth cleaningsweeping, watering our pots, and maintaining a clean neigborhood.

We have obtained a $2,000 grant from The Rochester Area Community Foundation. The grant will pay for signage at our gardens and painting of the tranformers boxes in the neighborhood. Artists will be painting our tranformers boxes to beautify the neighborhood.

Sadly, we have lost our funding for our Safety Center at 1933 East Main Street. We are working with Neighbors Building Neighborhoods and the City of Rochester to submit and obtain funding from grants from other organizations. Anyone who would like to donate to fund the Safety Center, please connect the web-site.

Please help with the flower pots in the neighborhood. You can help by watering the pots near your home.

NWV 2009 Annual Meeting 7:00 pm Thursday, April 30th at Browncroft Baptist Church
The North Winton Village Association will hold its annual meeting 7:00pm April 30 at Browncroft Baptist Church 420 N. Winton Rd. All are welcomed. Hear updates on completed projects and learn about projects in progress that are bringing new neighbors and business into our area.

New Eastside RPD Commander -Thursday, January 1st
RPD assigned a new commander to the eastside division, Jeffrey C. Clark. We appreciate the dedication of all our officers have to safeguarding our community. Take a moment to read the letter of introduction and invitation to eastside residents to participate in the monthly PCIC meetings. Take the opportunity to meet and welcome the new eastside commnander at one of the PCIC meetings.

NWV 2008 Annual Meeting 7:00 pm Monday, April 28 at Browncroft Baptist Church

The North Winton Village Association will hold its annual meeting 7:00 pm April 28 at Browncroft Baptist Church 420 N. Winton Rd. All are welcomed. Hear updates on completed projects and learn about projects in progress that are bringing new neighbors and business into our area. Guest Speaker Carlos Carballada, Economic Development Director will be speaking to us on these topics.

Grand Opening of Neighborhood & Public Safety Center - Wednesday, January 16th, 11am
North Winton Village Neighbors the Grand Opening of our Neighborhood and Public Safety Center was Wednesday, January 16th at 11am.
NYS Senator Jim Alesi performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the center. The center is located at 1933 East Main Street which is on the southwest corner of East Main and Illinois Street. Click here to see photos of the opening.

There will be treats offered to visitors. Most of all your heart will be warmed to meet the neighbors and share the cheer of this holiday season.

First Annual Festival of the Arts in North Winton Village September 29th 10am to 5pm
Come enjoy art, music and food in North Winton Village. The arts festival will be located along North Winton Road between Merchants Road and Browncroft Blvd.. Take a walk and visit your neighborhood merchants who have rolled out their welcome matt for you. There will be treats and hearths with fire to warm your feet. Most of all your heart will be warmed to meet the neighbors and share the cheer of this holiday season. We have new arrivals to see as you walk NWV. ESL's new Main St. branch is near completion an has transformed the look of Merchants and Main. The Atlantic Avenue rennovation is nearly completed with new side walks and cross walks which are easily seen at the corner of Winton and Atlantic.
